Supporting Recovery, Changing Lives, and Strengthening Community

Tallgrass exists because of the generosity, love, and commitment of people who believe in the power of recovery. As a community supported nonprofit, we rely on donors, volunteers, and community partners to help individuals and families find hope, healing, and long term sobriety. Your support directly impacts the lives of people who are suffering and searching for a way out.

When you give to Tallgrass, you are not donating to an institution. You are investing in real people, real families, and real transformation. You are helping someone reclaim their life, reconnect with their loved ones, and discover a spiritual solution that has helped millions find freedom.

Your partnership allows us to continue providing a deeply affordable recovery program, maintain our sober living homes, enhance community meals and meeting spaces, expand our volunteer efforts, and support individuals through financial hardship.

Every contribution matters. Every gift changes a life.

When you give, you become part of this mission. You join a community built on love, service, and hope. You help someone take their first step toward a life they never imagined possible.

Proven: 20 Years of Hope

For 20 years, Tallgrass has been providing Recovery that works.

Through the 12 Steps, spiritual awakening, and a community that refuses to give up, people who arrive consumed by fear, isolation, and hopelessness begin to experience freedom, connection, purpose, and a life of service. For two decades, Tallgrass has turned what begins as a desperate search for a way out into something extraordinary: a new freedom, a new happiness, and a life worth living.

Help us celebrate the people, partnerships, and stories that made 20 years of recovery possible.

When: Nov 10th, 2026, 05:30 pm – 08:00 pm (CDT)

Where: The Country Club of Sioux Falls 3400 W 22nd St Sioux Falls, SD

*If you are unable to attend the event, there are tables available to purchase to gift to the recovery community.*

*All proceeds support individuals in need who would not otherwise be able to enter the Tallgrass 30-day residential program. Part of the reason our program succeeds is that Tallgrass believes in “skin in the game.” Your gift supports our mission and keeps Tallgrass affordable.*

Proven Results Backed by Research

Clinical research from Harvard Medical School shows that Twelve Step Facilitation (TSF) significantly improves long-term recovery outcomes. Compared to other leading therapies, individuals in TSF programs experienced 60–71% higher rates of sustained remission in the first year. Even more compelling, at a 3-year follow-up, abstinence rates were 50% higher among those engaged in Twelve Step–based care.

These results are driven by one key factor: active participation in recovery communities like AA, which has been shown to create lasting behavioral change, stronger support systems, and improved accountability.

At Tallgrass Recovery, our Twelve Step Program approach is designed to connect you with these proven pathways to long-term sobriety—so recovery is not just possible, but sustainable.
